Ethical Just Got Fabulous

Maybe Ethical didn’t just get fabulous but this is the first time that we’ve heard it did. If like me you hover nervously around the ethical/organic/fairtrade/etc area in clothes shops frowning suspiciously and not really knowing what it all means, then you need a chat with Naomi Cornelius-Reid the founder of this cause which bring fairtrade and fashion together in a new event in London’s trendy Hoxton area, keep an eye on their website to find out when the next fair is
Which? Investigates: NHS Car Park Charges
I spoke to Matt Bath campaigner from Consumer watchdog Which? about their latest investigation into NHS Hospital Car Parks. Every hospital across the country was scored on its facilities and specifically their cost. With some making an incredible £1.8billion profit per year and being a tad too strict on their policies (clamping a woman who gave birth in her car??) the group are calling for changes – now.

Say Cheese!
SMILE! It’s National Smile Month and across the country dentists are hosting events, dressing up in peculiar outfits and most of all imploring us to get smart about our teeth. I spoke to Dr Nigel Carter from the British Dental Health Foundation to find out more.
Capital Cleans Up in the Big Clean-Up
Keep Britain Tidy is a nationwide campaign to clean up our act! I spoke to organiser Jill Partington about the Capital Clean-Up which organises events around London – so don your rubber gloves, a hairnet’s never looked better, it’s time to take to the streets and sort out our mess.

British Music Experience
Tate what? Pah, it’s the British Music Experience where the tourists (and non-tourists alike) are flocking these days; a new interactive museum in the o2 dedicated to the history of British pop music – ok it’s not exactly new, it would appear I’ve been living underneath a rock for a year. I spoke to curator Paul Lilley to find out more about how you can get music lessons from a pop star and which music legend’s outfit he can fit into.

The Last Song: Miley Cyrus
As the entire country moaned about some volcanic ash cloud I was secretly pretty happy because it meant I got a little chat with Miley Cyrus. Gutted not to be in Leicester Square that night for the premiere of her new move The Last Song, I had a brief catch up with the starlet to find out more.
Neil Hannon: The Divine Comedy
Having fallen in love with the forthcoming single ‘At the Indie Disco’ several weeks ago an opportunity to talk to frontman of The Divine Comedy Neil Hannon was greatly welcomed. The single is out May 24th, the album ‘Bang Goes the Knighthood’ follows a week later and the man and his piano have a busy summer planned.
Runner’s World: The Big One
Two days before the London Marathon I caught up with Deputy Editor of Runner’s World Matt Gilbert to find out how I should be prepping – obviously sitting and watching the marathon on the TV takes a lot less prep work than actually running it but nevertheless Matt’s pearls of wisdom were invaluable.
